Transportation info

The easiest way to reach Dubrovnik is by plane. Dubrovnik Airport is located 22 kilometers from the town and it takes 25 minutes by car from the airport to Dubrovnik, depending on the frequency of the traffic. Dubrovnik Airport is connected to major European cities. There are direct flights from/to Dublin, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Brussels, Rome, Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava, Moscow, Tel Aviv (some mentioned direct flights do not operate all year round) and many airports have direct charter flights to Dubrovnik. To other destinations, Dubrovnik is linked through connection flights with Zagreb. There are two to four connections per day from Zagreb to Dubrovnik and back, and from Zagreb, there are daily flights to all major cities in Europe.

All airline companies provide airline shuttle for regular flights – there is always an Atlas shuttle bus after every landing of regular flights. The shuttle bus costs 35 Croatian Kuna – 5 euros – per person and you can buy a ticket on the bus and the shuttle bus goes to Pile Gate and Bus Terminal (Main Bus Station). If your final destination is not near Pile Gate or Bus Terminal you have to take a taxi or use local bus service (or walk).

There is local public bus transportation as well, which operates according to the bus schedule. The local Bus station is in front of Domestic Arrivals. It costs 13-16 Croatian Kuna – 2 euros – per person one way. The problem with local buses is that most of them do not go directly to Dubrovnik – only some do – because they go only to Cavtat bus station. There are very frequent connections between Cavtat and Dubrovnic city by local bus (30 minutes) or by tourist boats (30 to 45 minutes). Bus tickets can be obtained from kiosks, in hotels, at travel agencies or on the bus itself.

Check the prices of private transfers and then decide which option is the best for you. Sometimes private transfers could be a cheaper and better solution then shuttle service or local bus lines. Visit www.taxiservicedubrovnik.com or send an e-mail at [email protected]

We wish you a pleasant stay in Dubrovnik.
