Hotel Kompas is located right of the coastline of one of Dubrovnik’s promenades – the Bay of Lapad. Situated directly on the Adriatic Sea, it is an excellent choice for guests who want a holiday full of sun, sea and fun. Apart from the 115 rooms, of which 54 have a sea view, the hotel has a number of amenities such as an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna and jacuzzi. There are three restaurants: Sole – the main restaurant, Sedna – a la carte restaurant and a pizzeria and open terrace which offer a rich menu of food and drinks as well as live music through the summer. For guests who wish to relax next to the crystal clear sea we recommend the beach in the Bay of Lapad which is only 30 meters from Hotel Lapad. The children will also enjoy the nearby children’s playground.
Throughout the year Hotel Kompas organises various events such as a New Years Eve party, Valentines, Easter program, gala evening through the summer season along with vocal choir evenings and traditional Dalmatian cuisine evenings and wine tasting. Along with these standard programs the hotel can also organise celebrations with special menus and all set in a romantic ambience. Hotel Kompas can also hold smaller seminars and conferences for up to 100 participants.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife, for three days. The hotel is located in an amazing place, right by the sea. The seaview is amazing. And Eventhough it was end September (last week) the sea was quite with no tides. If you are expecting a clean and quite place to stay, yes you can choose Hotel Kompas. Nothing very special, but everything is within expectations. Please remember, the reception is nearly one floor down to the road (we went there by taxi) so I had to carry our luggages down to the reception. And also our room is in 8th floor (one floor down to the reception) and during check-in and check-out process of crowded groups, we've been hearing their noise. Beside these two points, they provide clean room, nice and quite location, and that was all our expectations. If the hotel would be bought buy another group and renovated and escalated to 4 stars or maybe 5 stars hotel, it'd much better, because the view and the sea was amazing.
