During their visit to Dubrovnik, the members of the Canadian House of Representatives, headed by President Peter Milliken, were received by the President of the Dubrovnik City Council, Ivan Margaretić, and his fellow associates Đuro Market and Marijo Dabelić.

Mr. Margaretić discussed how the City Council and City Board operate, and touched upon expanding the ties between Dubrovnik and Canada. An emphasis was placed on the possibility of also introducing a direct flight between Dubrovnik and Toronto, which would certainly increase the number of Canadian tourists in the Croatian south.

Đuro Market, a City Board member and the President of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, presented the actual state of tourism in the city, with an emphasis on visits by Canadian tourists.
