Hotel Argentina is the most recent addition to the complex Grand Villa Argentina and along with the Villa Argentina forms the main building of the complex. The hotel is built in harmony with nature and follows the sloping landscape down to the sea. This means that the hotel reception is at street level, or on the sixth floor, and every other floor except one is below. On the ground floor the lift is combined with a tunnel which takes you out to the outside pool and hotel beach.
The vast majority of the rooms have a view over the ancient Old City of Dubrovnik which is only a five minute stroll from the hotel.
Even though Hotel Argentina gives you the impression of being a modern hotel from its façade the interior is furnished in line with Villa Argentina so that every room is similar. Some regular guests prefer the Hotel Argentina more than the Villa Argentina while others delight in the older villa. It is impossible to say whether the Hotel Argentina is more luxurious than the rest of the complex as both more than satisfy the standards of a 5 star hotel and every part of the complex is special in its own way.
“ Grand Villa's Only Redeeming Quality - It's Location “ 2010-02-06
Other than the Grand Villa's location being walking distance to old town Dubrovnik, the hotel has nothing else to offer - bad service, old, musty rooms that haven't been upgraded in decades, a pathetic "spa" and a tired, overpriced restaurant menu. >>> more |

“ Excellent service and location “ 2010-02-06
Although quite pricey this hotel is well worth considering. It has a brilliant location on the sea side within close proximity of the old city. >>> more |

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the GVA in early September. The location was wonderful! Our balcony room in the hotel provided gorgeous views of Old Dubrovnik for evening drinks. >>> more |
