Stunning hotel but some facilities not available

This is a fabulous hotel with excellent rooms, all with balconies and sea views. Everything brand, spanking new and finished to a very high standard. Within the grounds there are self catering apartments serviced by a well stocked mini market. The pool areas are very well appointed each with bar facilities and lounge areas. The private beach is small and pebbly and it is not easy to get in and out of the water. There are however, deck areas with loungers and ladder access to the water. We found all the staff very helpful, pleasant and the majority spoke very good english. We had a small problem with our room but we were relocated within 20 minutes without question. The spa is excellent and hotel guests have use of all the facilities except for treatments. The food in the various restaurants was very good and well presented but the menus were quite limited. The main problem we had was finding somewhere to eat that provided us with a decent choice. The Butchery (Grill) and Greengrocer weren't open and the lunchtime restaurant closed in the evenings. We only found the Asian Restaurant by chance and there is no doubt the guest information should have been a lot better. We ended up eating in Dubrovnik most nights where the choice of restaurants, bars and cafes, particularly in the Old Town was amazing and a wonderful experience.
It seems the Radisson management have decreed September low season despite excellent weather when we were there, and have reduced staffing and guests facilities - the pool bars closed at 6pm and there wasn't much to do in and around the hotel in the evenings hence the reason for us to take the shuttle bus to the Old Town most nights.
Despite the lack of guest information and choice of eateries at the hotel resort, we loved Dubrovnik, the surrounding area, the climate, and the people. Despite the minor irritations above, we also loved staying at the hotel.

Big problems with access to Dubrovnik, seaviews, food and practical room facilities

A poor experience and not a credit to the Radisson name. Location and access to Dubrovnik a real problem, plus issues over seaviews, poor food (poor vegetables, and hopeless for vegetarians, gluten-free and other special diets), and practical room facilities. To start with the few positives. The staff are very pleasant but so are nearly all Croatians, so that doesnt distinguish the hotel. The rooms are large, clean and modern, but have lots of practical problems see below. But there are some real problems which we didnt believe were teething problems. >>> more

Beware of the wine at the Radisson Blu Resort Dubrovnik. The weeks holiday we booked with Citiescapes included half board at the Radisson. We dined each night in the Hotels main restaurant The Origano. The food was fine but the wine is another story. >>> more
Beautiful hotel and grounds

We went in mid-September and really enjoyed our stay. There were still some bumps, hopefully that will improve with time. Although the weather was still warm and sunny, it appeared to already be low-season when we went. >>> more
