Hotel Sumratin has one of the longest traditions in the hotel business in Dubrovnik. The rich history of Hotel Sumratin began in 1918 when the hotel was constructed and in 1955 it received a complete facelift. The hotel is situated in a pleasant suburb of Dubrovnik and the ancient Old City is a mere 4 kilometres from the hotel.
This boutique style hotel has 44 air conditioned rooms on three floors and also includes a restaurant and aperitif bar. Hotel Sumratin is encompassed by a typically Mediterranean garden and offers shady spots to relax out of the sun. Just a stones throw from the hotel is a picturesque beach. Numerous cafés and restaurants are to be found within walking distance of the hotel and offer plenty of choices for an enjoyable evening out.
Sport lovers are spoilt for choice with tennis courts, beach volleyball as well as a host of water sports all in close proximity. For families with children there is a fun park with various rides and amusements. Hotel Sumratin is an excellent choice for guests looking for a central base from which to explore the many opportunities Dubrovnik has to offer. Hotel Sumratin is open from early spring until late autumn.
“ Good value for Dubrovnik “ 2010-02-07
This hotel gives decent accommodation at a reasonable price. It is in the Lapad area, on the main pedestrianised route down to the Lapad beach. There is a bus stop about 100 metres away, and about a 10 minute 8-kuna bus ride to the old city gate (the buses can get very crowded). Plenty of reasonably priced bars and eating places close by.
The hotel looks a little shabby from the outside, and the rooms are a little dated, but all the boxes are ticked, friendly staff, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, quiet at night. The buffet breakfast is provided in the cavernous dining room, and while not a gourmet's delight will not leave you hungry.
Note that some rooms have balconies. The balconies on the first floor are a decent size, with room for a table and chairs, but on the second floor where we were they are tiny and not worth having.

“ Heartbreak Hotel “ 2010-02-07
We booked this hotel because it was the cheapest we could find in Dubrovnik. We weren't expecting much based on the reviews and the hotel website, however as it isn't a cheap hotel (over L60 a night) we did expect more than we got! We've travelled a lot and this hotel is definitely NOT good value for money. >>> more |

“ Basic hotel in a great location “ 2010-02-07
This hotel is very basic and the rooms are in need of a major facelift. However, our room was clean and had a nice balcony. >>> more |
