Valamar Club Dubrovnik

Three Star Hotels
Valamar Club Dubrovnik has recently been totally refurnished. It is the only hotel in Dubrovnik that offers an “all inclusive” service. Located on Babin Kuk, one of the most beautiful regions of Dubrovnik, the hotel offers everything necessary for a comfortable and high quality holiday. Valamar Club Dubrovnik is situated only 5 kilometres from the historic Old City of Dubrovnik and is well connected by a local bus service. The hotel has 338 spacious and air-conditioned rooms, all with a bathroom and shower.

The reasons that Valamar Club Dubrovnik is high on the list for many families visiting Dubrovnik are the various amenities and facilities for children. Including the children’s corner in the restaurant, everyday animations divided into different groups, playgrounds, swimming school, mini club, mini Olympics and in the evening hours there is a mini disco, mini cinema, talent show and a number of other events for all ages. Aside from the facilities for the children Valamar Club Dubrovnik offers plenty of fun and enjoyment for the grown ups. Including morning exercises where you can choose between Pilates, Tai Chi, speed walking or exercises in the pool.

Throughout the day there are events organised such as sports competitions in football, volleyball, tennis and other sports. Less sport minded guests can enjoy the hotel’s swimming pool or a refreshing drink at one of the two hotel bars. In the evening hours you can experience live music or other entertainment programs like Celtic Pride, Movie shows, etc. Valamar Club Dubrovnik is open from April to October.

Having just spent half term week at this hotel, our party was 2 adults and 4 teenagers, I can report that all in all it was a very enjoyable experience. The rooms although basic where clean and well presented, although we did pay the small premium for sea views and I'm not totatly sure but suspect that some of the lower charged rooms might be in need of a refurb. The outside of the hotel and public areas were bright and we'll decorated and seemed always to be being cleaned. We book th all-inclusive light option which included 3 meals a day and your drinks ( local wines, beer and soft drinks) in the resturant. The food was very good, a choice of cold and hot buffets and two or three meats or fish cooked at a grill, plus fresh pizzas made and cooked also in the resturant. If you are all-inclusive and going out for the day asked for a packed lunch before 6 the day before, it was basic but again plentiful. We didn't really get any use from the pool and sports faclilities but there looked to be a wide offering. We were there in the last week of the season so the hotel was pretty quite, wheter we would have enjoyed it as much at full occupancy in the summer may have been another thing but that's just personal taste. the hotel is about a fifteen minute bus ride from the old town, buy your ticket in the hotel shop for 80 Kuna (80p) or on the bus for 100 Kuna, one way. The bus stop is on the main road just along from the hotel entrance of the road, you need to walk a couple of 100 metres up the hotel service road which is asteep incline but nothing any able bodied person wouldn't cope with. The number 6 bus terminates at the Pile Gate for the old town. We paid 50 Euros for a pre-booked minibus (there was 6 of us) from the airport to the hotel, about 30 mins journey but there were loads of taxis outside the terminal waiting. All in all I would highly recomemend the hotel, especially at the all-inclusive room rate we paid.
One more thing, if anybody does visit the hotel can you message me with any repoert on Millie the dog, Millie, apparantley is a stray that has lived around the hotel for the last 5 or 6 years, my daughter fell in love with Millie and used to smuggle a dogy bag out of the resturant at meal times to feed her. Any news would be appreciated as she was a littel hearbreaker but as the hotel recpionist said when I asked if the dog belonged o the hotel she answered, "the hotel belongs to Millie!"

Totally relaxing stay with wonderful facilities

Stayed at the Valamar Club Dubrovnik in August 2009 with my husband and 10 year old daughter. Room was a bit small but clean and this was more than compensated for by the fantastic sea view of passing liners/boats and fabulous mountains. >>> more
