Hotel Lero

Three Star Hotels
Hotel Lero is situated just 1200 meters from the centre of the Old City of Dubrovnik, which makes it the only hotel in close vicinity of the centre that isn’t a five star hotel. The closest beach is 300 meters from Hotel Lero and a very convenient bus service makes the whole of Dubrovnik within easy reach. Hotel Lero has a total of 160 double rooms of which 80 have stunning seas view whilst the remaining rooms have views out over a park. In 100 of the rooms there is the possibility to place an additional bed for a third guest. All rooms are fully air-conditioned, have satellite TV, mini-bar and bathroom with shower.

Hotel Lero also has 8 family apartments which are made up of two connected double rooms with a joint bathroom. Apart from the main hotel restaurant there is also an aperitif bar with a lovely terrace surrounded by palm trees and an a la carte restaurant, Taverna Nava, which is famous for its excellent local and international cuisines as well as seafood specialities and, of course, its wide choice of wines. Apart from beginning a great destination for holiday makers Hotel Lero also has all facilities for those looking to organise seminars and conferences.

There are in fact three, fully air-conditioned congress halls in the hotel. The largest has a capacity for up to 70 participants and the two smaller can hold 30 and 15 respectively. There is also the possibility to join the halls which makes a larger congress hall for 100 participants with seating “cinema” style. Hotel Lero is open throughout the whole year and is a great choice for those after a hotel relatively close to the centre without having to pay the cost of a five star hotel.

Fantastic Hotel, Fantastic Location
2010-02-07

We stayed in the Hotel for 6 Nights and had a very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Lero.
Also we booked through a Travel Agent, so we are not quiet sure what the direct Hotel Rates are, but we were very happy with the service we received for the price we paid.

As soon as we arrived a friendly Hotel Portier was available and helping us with the luggage to Reception and later on to our Room which was in the 2nd Floor. Reception Staff very friendly and helpful. All Staff speaks good english and addresses you by name, not like other Hotels where you are just a number.

Rooms are basic, but clean and had everything you need including the important air conditioning for the hot summer which is around 43'.

Restaurant and Bar very nice. Excellent Food in the Restaurant Lero which has a big Buffet Choice. Price okay for the amount of Selection. Breakfast very nice. Enough choice on hot food for the hot temperatures and nice selection on bread and cheeses. As I am from Germany, I am used to the cheese and sausage platters for Breakfast instead of hot foods, so you can guess that I was more than pleased with the selection.
The Bar staff was excellent. Had in the evenings a cocktail on the Terrace before walking down to the Old Town, which is around 15-20 Minutes walk, for dinner.

The Old Town has a rather large selection of Restaurants, some a bit over priced thought.
You have different choices there from Pizza to Fish (which you should really try) to Bosnian Food. Very different to english, but excellent. They really know what they are cooking.
Old town rather busy during the summer and if you decide to go on the city wall, get up there with enought bottles of Water at around 10am as it gets busy from 1pm.

If you like to spend some days on the Beach, be prepared to bring your own towels with in the holiday, other wise you spend easily L40 on 1 Towel.

Overall I had a great holiday with my partner and we would deffinately recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to spend some time in Dubrovnik. Also if we should return, we deffinately stay here again.

Average hotel, bad food

Hotel Lero can be a nice choice for Dubrovnik but rooms prices are a bit high for what it offers. My room wasnt very specious and looking at the backside of the hotel so there was no view, but it was clean enough. Mini bar was full. >>> more

Hotel Lero is one of the few real hotels that are walkable to the Dubrovnik old town. It's located on one of the main roads in the city. >>> more
