Hotel Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik

Luxury Hotels

Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is the oldest of all of the hotels in Dubrovnik originally opened in 1895. Today the hotel combines fascinating architecture from the 19th century with a modern design. Hotel Imperial Dubrovnik is situated just 100 metres from the gates of the ancient city of Dubrovnik, a few minutes walk from the sea and has glorious views over the Old City walls and the fortress of Lovrijenac.

Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is the smallest Hilton hotel in the world and offers guests 139 rooms and 8 apartments. The spaces inside the hotel are characterised by their Mediterranean decoration, discrete lighting, warm tones and marble details in the corridors and public areas. The executive rooms and executive lounge offer their guests exclusive surroundings, panoramic terraces and ideal conditions for relaxing and unwinding or carrying out discrete business meetings.

Hotel Imperial Dubrovnik has a rich range of facilities arranged over 2 floors; 6 rooms of the Hilton Meeting and a Ballroom of 244 metres squared, large enough to hold up to 259 guests also with the possibility of dividing the room in two smaller rooms. The corridor is large enough to display exhibitions.

The hotel’s restaurant offers a wide spectrum of international cuisines and Dalmatian specialities, which are prepared with freshly caught fish and sea food. The Lobby Bar is favourable for daily refreshments and in the evening it transforms into a piano bar with numerous cocktails available in a comfortable ambient. Hotel Imperial Dubrovnik has a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool (naturally lit) which makes it a perfect place to unwind and relax.

Fantastic Location

We stayed at the Hilton for 2 nights after a sailing trip from Split. It was a good sight to see a large room, spacious bed, and proper bathroom again.

Our friends got a standard room, but we were given an upgrade due to our Hilton membership - 327 was the room number. I highly recommend this room, as it's on the corner, with amazing views! It was a delux suite, with access to the Executive Lounge.

I definitely could not fault the room, especially the views! However, our friends who paid the same were a bit disappointed.

Location was great, just outside the main gate to the old town (I would recommend not to stay inside the Old Town as cars are not allowed in, it does get noisy at night, and the flooring is of slippery stone - also with so many alley ways, you can easily get lost).

Breakfast was standard - with hot and cold buffet selections of ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, fruits, bread and pastries. Also available was made to order poached eggs, hard boiled eggs, omelettes, pancakes, french toast, waffles, etc. Service is very good.

Unfortunately the fitness centre was being renovated, which also meant that the spa centre had to be either at the pool or in your own room. One of our friends tried a deep tissue massage and found it more like a relaxing massage. Toiletries were from Crabtree and Evelyn. The other downside was that the pool was indoor, and the roof could not be opened.

Overall, it is in a great location with a major bus station outside. The building is quite unique and really nice, unlike many other Hiltons.

Excellent location and staff

We stayed here 3 nights after staying at the Hotel Excelsior (beautiful but too costly for our length of stay) down the road. The location is phenomenal--directly outside the Old Town Gates. It was very clean and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. >>> more
Paradise in Dubrovnik

This hotel is perfect, you have to try it. Pleasant stuff, luxury equipment, great food, perfect location close to the center but far enought from traffic, nice terrace. And the town is a heaven ;) We liked it so much!!! >>> more
Maybe better off season

The hotel is in a fascinating location and has been well restored. Our room was on top floor of the adjacent building showing to the back. It seems, that our room was especially oversized and very comfortable. AC did a good job in there. Other rooms on low floors must have a very restricted view. >>> more
