Hotel Dubrovnik Palace

Luxury Hotels
Hotel Dubrovnik Palace has an enviable position on the peninsular of Lapad just 4.5 kilometres from the walls of the Old City of Dubrovnik. Its unique cascading architecture offers all 308 rooms and apartments on ten floors spectacular views of the sea from private balconies.

Every room has a flat screen TV, wireless Internet connection, en-suite bathroom with massage shower, Gharani Strok bath gel, mini-bar, air conditioning, safe and pay TV with the latest films. Along with the hotel’s beach and three outside pools guests also have at their disposal an indoor pool, fitness club, tennis court and a spa and beauty centre. During their stay guests can enjoy a drink at one of the four bars, dance the night away in “Orlandinjo” night club or taste the fine cuisines from one of the four restaurants. Apart from the Elafiti restaurant, there is the fine dining restaurant Lenga, the tavern Maslina and the exclusive sushi bar Satu.

The conference facilities of the hotel are second to none and include; nine rooms for meeting for 30 to 1000 participants, salons with terraces and views over the nearby Elaphite islands, modern business centre and various locations ideal for cocktails and entertainment.

Hotel Dubrovnik Palace is situated at the foot of the Petka hill and there are numerous walks available through the forested countryside. The historic Old City of Dubrovnik is only a five minute taxi ride away or a ten minute journey on one of the local buses. Comfort and style, a crystal clear sea and views over local islands are reasons enough to choose this extra special hotel.

One of the worst 'Five star' hotels I've stayed at. A bad joke really

This hotel has been living off a lot of hype - not least from the Adriatic Luxury Hotel group, its owners and a ridiculously over-the-top review in the TIme Out Croatia which had the temerity to name it and the empty (in August!) Sunset Bar, a `Hot Hotel. It has really made me question their judgement for future travel listings. This is by no stretch of the imagination a five star hotel, unless it is used as a mean of charging the most overpriced food in its bland dull restaurants and bars. Food prices had American and French guests bitterly complaining whenever I heard them. Twenty pounds for a small salad starter for instance! Rooms have gone for the Holiday Inn or Mercure treatment in design with poky bathrooms smaller than a Travelodge on a motorway and cheap neutral furnishings that someone has been conned into believing is the height of fashion. I was fortunate to have a room at the far end so the balcony looking out on the rocks and sea was lovely and allowed me to forget the all round hideousness of this place. Even the cooked breakfast was below average. Cold scrambled eggs at one service! The hotel has sadly come to symbol all that has gone wrong in Dubrovnik with tourism. A beautifully restored old town is surrounded by hotels and restaurants all out to fleece the tourists by delivering mediocre to bad food at exhorbitant prices. The city seems to think it`s visitors are just easy game to be gouged. Well Italian tourism has learned this to its cost this year with a steep fall off in visitors - I hope for those in the tourist business here they dont learn this to their cost. Not least the Dubrovnic Palace, a three star hotel at best.

Perfect setting on the shores of the Adriatic

he location of the hotel is superb, and the views over the Adriatic at sunset are spectacular. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, the staff were charming, efficient and extremely helpful. >>> more
Beautiful location, great hotel, but isolated and seem to overbook

Stayed for 5 nights, had no serious complaints with the service or the hotel. The hotel is right on the sea with every room facing the water. However, about 1/4 of the rooms have view blocked by pine trees. Fortunately, ours wasn't. The standard rooms are quite small, not much larger than the bed; if you care about room size, upgrading to a superior or suite is a must. >>> more
Has a computer room, with 4 computers free for use.

The only real complaint about this hotel is that there is pretty much nothing nearby. No stores, no restaurant, no sand beach. [There is a nice beach and shopping areas down Masarykov road, about 15-20 minute walk away, but it gets quite crowded.] For dinner, you either eat at the hotel, or need to take a bus/taxi/shuttle to the Old Town. >>> more
