Hotel Dubrovnik Palace

Luxury Hotels
Hotel Dubrovnik Palace has an enviable position on the peninsular of Lapad just 4.5 kilometres from the walls of the Old City of Dubrovnik. Its unique cascading architecture offers all 308 rooms and apartments on ten floors spectacular views of the sea from private balconies.

Every room has a flat screen TV, wireless Internet connection, en-suite bathroom with massage shower, Gharani Strok bath gel, mini-bar, air conditioning, safe and pay TV with the latest films. Along with the hotel’s beach and three outside pools guests also have at their disposal an indoor pool, fitness club, tennis court and a spa and beauty centre. During their stay guests can enjoy a drink at one of the four bars, dance the night away in “Orlandinjo” night club or taste the fine cuisines from one of the four restaurants. Apart from the Elafiti restaurant, there is the fine dining restaurant Lenga, the tavern Maslina and the exclusive sushi bar Satu.

The conference facilities of the hotel are second to none and include; nine rooms for meeting for 30 to 1000 participants, salons with terraces and views over the nearby Elaphite islands, modern business centre and various locations ideal for cocktails and entertainment.

Hotel Dubrovnik Palace is situated at the foot of the Petka hill and there are numerous walks available through the forested countryside. The historic Old City of Dubrovnik is only a five minute taxi ride away or a ten minute journey on one of the local buses. Comfort and style, a crystal clear sea and views over local islands are reasons enough to choose this extra special hotel.

Four star, not five star - fabulous seaviews, lovely spa & therapists

Just back from a week in the D Palace. Husband and I would generally stay in boutique hotels but this was a real last minute break because of the crappy weather in Ireland. In our opinion this hotel should be four star not five star rated. Standard bedroom is tight being about 12 - 13' wide at most and is adequately furnished (bit like a jurys inn). The terrace is ok in size but the view is truly fabulous. We had to ask for loungers for the terrace as its supplied with two straightbacked sun chairs, which aren't the most comfortable for long periods of time. Bathrooms have L'Occitane accessories which is nice but aren't spacious and its impossible to have a shower without wetting the floor (something that drives me nuts!). Also couldn't get the safe to work and front desk response wasn't helpful. The public areas of the hotel are nice as is the spa. I had four treatments which were wonderful with lovely therapists. Outside - there really aren't enough sun loungers outside for the amount of guests when its busy so that can be a bit of a pain if you're not down early to 'book' your lounger - this is not something I would expect from a five star hotel. I also thought that in a five star hotel there should be pool area attendants if you needed extra towels or wanted drinks etc instead of having to go get them yourself. The hotel operates a free shuttle bus to the main gate of the old town in the morning and evening which is great - its only 10 minutes or so but the peninsula location means its quiet and you get a gorgeous sea breeze. Breakfast buffet is good though I would have preferred proper barista-made coffee rather than machine but it caters for 300 bedrooms so I guess thats why. Service was mixed - when it was good it was very good and when it was bad it was real 'can't be bothered' attitude. The front desk staff were the most dismissive/inattentive. I would go back for the location (view, swimming) and the spa not for anything else particularly. BTW, Dubrovnik was absolutely wonderful with very welcoming people.

Perfect setting on the shores of the Adriatic

he location of the hotel is superb, and the views over the Adriatic at sunset are spectacular. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, the staff were charming, efficient and extremely helpful. >>> more
Beautiful location, great hotel, but isolated and seem to overbook

Stayed for 5 nights, had no serious complaints with the service or the hotel. The hotel is right on the sea with every room facing the water. However, about 1/4 of the rooms have view blocked by pine trees. Fortunately, ours wasn't. The standard rooms are quite small, not much larger than the bed; if you care about room size, upgrading to a superior or suite is a must. >>> more
Has a computer room, with 4 computers free for use.

The only real complaint about this hotel is that there is pretty much nothing nearby. No stores, no restaurant, no sand beach. [There is a nice beach and shopping areas down Masarykov road, about 15-20 minute walk away, but it gets quite crowded.] For dinner, you either eat at the hotel, or need to take a bus/taxi/shuttle to the Old Town. >>> more
